Selling fav gun?

Let's you have decided to go your local gun range with your favorite gun (in or outdoor - doesn't matter) and during one of the breaks you start talking to the guy next to you. He really likes your gun and ask what the price of your gun is. Then out of the blue he says "I'll give you double for it today"! (assuming you can find a gun shop near by to complete the transaction legally)

Or yea one more thing; You've had this gun forever (at least for a long-long time) and this particular gun holds a ton of memories!

My most expensive gun (not including accessories) would be my Caspian 1911 built by the SA Custom Shop. It cost me 3k in parts and labor. I love that gun but if someone offered me 6k for it, I'd be in the "hell yes!" category, which you forgot to make as an option.

I would sell, but why would anyone want to buy a used Benelli Supersport 12 gauge with 28" barrel for double the price of a new one which they can easily buy online or in stores?

If someone is really that keen on getting a Benelli Supersport but can't find one in the local store, I'll be glad to show him how to buy it online and recommend a FFL who can receive his firearm for him.

I can't think of anything I wouldn't sell, guns or otherwise, for double its value. I'm no collector, so I don't have any rare pieces. Also, I don't get too attached to items.

Years ago, my Dad gave me a nice watch for my birthday (it was a watch he used previously). If someone were to offer me double for it, I'd sell it. And my Dad would agree with me. We'd take the money and get new watches for the both of us!

Unless it is a special heirloom kinda thing that means more than just a gun...it's a tool, sell it. Buy another one and pocket the change. Memories wont go away...make new ones

My current "fav" is replaceable. And that extra $1,500 would sure buy a lot of ammo.
