I posted about these a few months ago in the shotgun section.
Apparently they don't work, half of them go off during the shipping and handling so when you shoot them they are duds. They show you where the wad is, not the shot, and the load is inaccurate.
So pretty much they are useless lol
There was another brand that was a little better. But was still almost as useless. Cool idea tho.Comment

Actually, tracer ammo for shotguns is perfectly legal in CA.

They don't work, from what I've heard, they've had lots of manufacturing problems. The chemical would get mixed long before you shoot and by the time you do, it no longer glows properly.
Right now, if you need to see where you shots are going when shooting birdshots, you're better off buying Winchester AA Traacker shells. These uses a special wad that lets you see where you shots went. You use these during daytime, which is more convenient too.
I use the Winchester Traacker shells when teaching my wife how to shoot trap, they work great.Comment
