    Beretta Hi-Cap mag

Got a buddy of mine that purchased a 30rd Beretta 92 mag pre 2000. Can he use it on a newly purchased Beretta M9 legally? (the Original Beretta 92 he bought the mag for was sold in 2006)

He can legally use it until a cop confiscates it as a nuisance item.
