They will release the two and return some of the gun, then will hear it on the news that they just rob a bank or something.

They are going away for a few years at least. These are firearms charges, after all.

No worries, those guns are valued under $950. They will be let loose under Prop 47.

They must have found all this stuff on the streets and we're on their way to turn them in at a buyback. These two have had a rough life but they had just enrolled in college and were turning their lives around.

Most of the violations seem to have federal implications; wouldn't this probably go to federal court?

One of the AK-47 rifles had been reported stolen in the state of Georgia (interstate transport of stolen rifles). All of the rifles were modified to fire in fully-automatic mode (illegal manufacture of a machine gun).

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed - where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.

If all the guns were converted to FA or select fire, they are NOT AWs under CA law.

I call bs. There are already laws in place to stop this from happening.

Ridin' dirty! That's what you call a pucker stop!

Where'd the notice come from OP? That was a well written report (compared to all the other lame reports I see), except for the "Possession of High-Capacity Magazines" that they always seem to get wrong .
