Recommend me a range near Victorville.

So sometime next year I'll be heading down to Victorville to visit a friend who is still relatively new to guns, and I'm unsure if I will be allowed to use whatever law enforcement range he is able to use, he's a CHP officer. So when I go to visit him I'm bringing a few rifles and pistols to let him have some variety other than his AR15 and S&W 4006.

So where should we go and where should we avoid?

You could shoot off Hodge road by the 15 fwy (BLM land), or theres the Lions Club range near Lucerne Valley. They are only open on Tuesdays and weekends though. Your buddy could also join the West Victor Valley gun range off 395 then you could go as a guest. Your buddy might be familiar with this range since CHP used to and possibly still uses this range to qualify.

West Victor Valley Shooting Range is a few miles north of Adelanto. I have never shot there but I pass it all the time. It looks like it might be a good place.
