If he is restricted, NO! If he is not them maybe, depending on why he got restricted. Then, only let him use a 10/22 or other similar rifle...definitely no handguns, especially if he was restricted due to a suicide attempt, or something similar.

That got my attention and was wondering why or how a person becomes restricted from using firearms....or is he just pulling my chain???

Whatever he means, or thinks he means, you need to find out exactly what the story is before you let Bob touch one of your guns. You will be aiding and abetting a serious federal crime if you have reasonable cause to believe he is a prohibited person.

If he was restricted until age 25 then he probably had prohibiting misdemeanor at age 15 or a 5150 hold at age 20.

A friend of mine tried to commit suicide when he was 19 or twenty I believe and he just got over his 5 year restriction. Luckily he is in a much better place mentally now.

This would be my guess. Just keep that in mind before letting him handle your guns!
