S&W repair problems

Anyone have probs with s&w repair service problems?
I've sent in a SW22a for repair after buying the gun new for about 2 weeks.
contacted SW about the issues where the " Slide is marring the frame of the body" it isn't aligned properly you can clearly tell the slide is lopsided. 20141010_132519.jpg

So I sent it out and it took a month to retrun. checked it out and the service order said only the spring was replaced.
Contacted SW again about it and said it didn't fix the issue.. Sent it out again.. and a month later it came back.

The rear sight was changed. so by this time I'm fed up and don't want to contact them anymore. but pissed cause my 22a isn't fixed after sending it in 2 times.... sigh... Am I the only one who has issues with SW?

You didn't notice that defect at time of purchase ? or did that happen after a few down range ?

I didn't notice was just too happy that I got it for 250 bucks tax and all

OP, contact Bolsa Gunsmithing in Westminster. They are an authorized S&W warranty center. Show them your pistol and explain the problem. I'm betting they will take care of you.

I notice something was off when there was a fail to eject.. and i tried to pull the slide back..It was really hard to rack it back to eject the spent case. had to use a lot of force. That's when I inspected the gun and saw from the rear slide was off..

I'm sure you could find a closer gunsmith but Bolsa is the only S&W warranty center in SoCal and it seems to me that you deserve to get your pistol repaired properly on S&W's dime, not your own.

I've sent in my 686 3 times. 1st time was because the forcing cone wasn't machined smooth. Barrel replaced and came back with scratches all over the cylinder. 2nd time for the same forcing cone issue and a gouge inside the barrel. Barrel replaced again and replaced cylinder. 3rd time because the bolt wasn't catching the cylinder on 2 holes. Replaced bolt and spring. Sent a 629 in with a potential crack on the front of the frame. Wasn't a crack after all but returned with a canted barrel. Sent it back to fix the cant. Sent in and just got back a 627 because the bolt wasn't fully engaging. I figure with the lifetime warranty I'm going to get my use out of it.

Damn that's a lot of back and forth.. but i've only had the 22A for not even a month and it went out twice already.. don't know if the guy working on it is slow? cause i even took a picture of it, circled it. and wrote the exact problem. and still changed things that wasn't causing the problem ... sigh..

I've give Bolsa Gunsmithing a try. I've had repairs done by them and no complaints.

Not sure but walking in the door and actually discussing the problem with a live human being is the real goal here. I've sent a gun back to S&W and I've personally dropped one off for service to Bolsa. I vastly preferred the results from the latter.
