If you hurry, you can get a screamin' deal on a Shield 9mm and avoid the SSE hassle.

        Colt CCO
        Shield
        Glock 23

My CCO with thin grips is as thin as my Shield, just a little heavier. The shield is surprisingly accurate. And the 23 feels like a brick at the end of the day.........

Depends on how you dress. Good IWB holster undershirt to keep it from rubbing on you too much and an untucked shirt with enough weight for a good drape will cover most full sized auto's. A pocket holster with your back up gun and/ or a couple of magazines.

So I find myself wondering if I can really carry a full size 1911. And if that doesn't work I have a Sig P226 and a couple M&P's to fall back on (the shorter barrel options but still full size, not compacts). And then I have one SSE left. Decisions decisions...

            It's a good problem to have though...finally.

I wanted to qualify my 1858 Remington 8" but since BP is not registered I couldn't.

Placer requires your carry guns be registered to you? I didn't know that.

It isn't a state requirement, though when the gun is listed on the license, that info gets sent to DOJ and (presumably) added to AFS.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

"Ive been pocket carrying from the get go (June 2014) and its all I think I wanna carry, I figure a couple things. Ive lived 32yrs w/o the need to defend myself in a life threatening situation so if I go another 32yrs Ill be fortunate and in the meantime be comfortable vs lugging around a hand cannon etc.

My thought process on pocket carrying (I use Desanti's Superfly) is I can put my hand in my pocket if I feel threatened gripping the full grip of my firearm w/o showing any signs of preparation. No other carry gives you this option, And if its an unfound threat Ive not made myself look like an *** flipping my shirt out of the way."

I also like this option. I wear shorts and T shirts most of the time and a pocket carry just works with no hassle. I also have the IWB holster and others but always go to the pocket carry.

Stanislaus County had that requirement when I first got my license. They have since revised their requirements to eliminate (but recommend!) the registration requirement.

A full-size Beretta PX4 9mm conceals nicely for me (around the house). 2 or 4 o'clock hardly prints on me.

You will probably end up carrying the lightest one you own.

I just bought a H&K USP Compact specifically for when I get my CCW.
