    spikes tactical .17hmr?

Does anybody know if Spikes tactical is ever going to build a .17hmr upper or complete .17hmr AR? I really love the Spikes .22 but already have so many other .22lr's and a .17hmr in the AR platform would be so sweet.

Problem is, no one I know has ever done a .22mag upper (which a .17hmr would be based on), so there's no bolt/carrier for inside the upper, and no magazines.

Spikes is just using a Ciener kit without the chamber adapter portion, and those have been around forever.

To make a .17hmr/.22mag action, the bolt in the ciener kit would likely have to have increased mass and some stronger springs installed. Then you'd have to create new magazines.

I think it's an awesome idea, but it's basically creating a whole new variant of upper from scratch, including the magazines.
