    Does anyone have any experience with these bad boys?

    What are your thoughts? I'm thinking of ordering a few boxes for HD.

      It's all hype.

      Third party testing of the 9x19mm G2 RIP ammo using FBI spec ballistic gelatin showed that it had similar penetration and expansion as .22LR segemented HP ammo.

          You want unique and functional, look at the Lehigh Extreme Penetrator. And third party testing shows equivelent or slightly better than HP in most (but not all) calibers.

                                                          RIP ammo is a gimmick, 100%. Sure it will (well hopefully) go bang and launch a projectile out of your barrel. But HPs are a tried and true platform, why buy an untried platform that costs 5X as much just because they have cool commercials?

                                                          Get yourself some Federal HST or Speer GDHP. If you are smart and you shop around online you can get 9mm or 45 for around $.50/rd shipped.
