Hey guys, I'm sure there are many threads out there for the first timer building his kit. I Would really like to get some Intel on drilling out my flat and any other good intelligence in the process. The kit i have is a amd 65 with a 80% receiver Hungarian. Please also give some information on weld builds.

Most guys around here aren't fans of the weld builds.

For getting some eyes on of what you're in store for I liked watching usmcdoc14 on YouTube. There are tons of other videos that cover lots of different aspects too.
Once I got started and really underway, I'd ask specific questions on the gun smithing forum and I'd get great info and guidance.
For drilling, you're gonna want to start small and work up.

I'd also like to add ginsboy2003's youtube channel to the watch list. He does a Tothtools only build in his kitchen. Obviously, he didn't bend his flat there but the assembly all took place at his kitchen table.
