    Spikes NB BCG question

I am new to ARs just built my first AR and bought a Spikes Tactical Nickel Baron BCG. I shot 100 rounds from it and noticed two gouge lines in the Bolt. Is this normal? I can feel them with my fingers.

I have a spikes nib BCG and have never had this issue. I doubt it will hurt anything.
The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria)"

Thank you! I wasn't sure. I figured as much. I thought Nickle Baron was pretty tough and wouldn't wear like this. Do you think I should try and return it just in case its an issue with the coating?

Use good lubricant and shoot it. Wear happens, and that carrier looks awful dry in the picture.

I think you mean "Nickel Boron".

You could try to contact spikes and see what they say. Can you see any wear in the upper? Keep it well lubed and you'll be fine.
