    OC Sheriff's Range

I'm a regular at the Sheriff's range and am really surprised at how empty it is. Granted they are not open on Sunday and close at 4:30 on Saturday but for $7.00 and free targets, I'd think more people would be there.

Located on Katella across from the Honda Center.
Last time I was there, only 5 of the 12 lanes were working. That was 2 weeks ago; nice range and nice people running it though.

          ssshhhh

its a nice range, i've been going there recently around lunch time during work. i love that its not crowded, i feel more comfortable in a indoor range that way, i'm use to shooting BLM land.

when my shipment of 9mm gets here, i'll be back to my weekly visits

located on Katella between Main and the 57

Will have to try it. Out of my way so not likely to replace Burro Canyon for me.

Been there once many years ago. The only thing I remember about that place is that they don't allow silhouette targets for civilians probably because of the potential of getting paper cuts from them.

I generally go to Evan's, I always ASSumed it was closed to the public. Shame on me...

Though it's public, it's really not. No long guns of any kind, no magnum handguns, only half (maybe) of the range available...all the while LEO's on the line shooting AR's with magnified Aimpoints. They should just remove the "Public" on the sign.

On a similar note, I use the San Diego Police Range off Home Avenue, which is just off state route 94. It is a jewel of an outdoor range. Nice lawn, good parking, never busy. The only downside is it is limited to handguns.
