If it's what you say, then it sounds like mail fraud. Was the package insured?

Did you ask the seller why the box had nothing in it...?

Photos of the box, papers, preserve for fingerprints. File police report and call US Post office to file report as well. After that with copies of everything go to your bank's manager and present them the claim to see what they can do. Doubt you'll get anywhere with the bank but having all this paper trail file in small claims court. The judge should be on your side. Good luck.

200 positive reviews would make me trust someone also.

Did the box look like it had been opened in transit?

Let us know what the seller says after you contact them.

Use money order next time. The post office has a police force dedicated to money order scams and it's a felony.

Did you already contact the seller about the issue? I don't see how someone goes bad after 200 positive feedback. I would think it was poor communication, but shipping an empty box is where it gets fishy

Post his username? Someone knows him. Sounds like a complete abuse of the system.

I hate to think a Calguns member with 200 positive feedback could be the bad guy in this. Check with the seller to make sure.
This happened to me once before with a member from another site. I bought some Sierra bullets from him, he putted it in a med flat rate box. Well the heavy bullet broke through the box during transit. Items was lost.
It was not completely his fault, just bad luck some time.

How much was postage on usps box. What did it weigh to generate that cost of shipping. If it had a longun which is the only firearm you can ship usps it should have weiged 10 lbs or so. Did it go to ffl or you. If to you and not mfg before 1899 then a felony occured on both parties. If not firearm then weight should be the giveaway on what was in package.
