I think this says more about the officers training than it does about any ill conceived notion that Glocks aren't safe because you have to unload them before cleaning them.

baseball players are some of the most pro-gun athletes you'll ever see, at least when i was still playing...by the last 3rd of the season, if your team was no longer in contention, all the clubhouse and bullpen talk centered around who was going where for the hunting season...that and fishing

a few years ago, Robin Yount and Dale Sveum were out hunting some quail in Arizona and Robin nailed Sveum in his back and ear with some birdshot from the spray pattern of his shotgun

so, technically Canseco isn't the first, although he is the first to shoot himself
