    What the hell is it?

Went out shooting Sat and I found something I've never seen in my 52 years.
Little 1 3/4" 12 GA shells littered all over the ground, (pictured next to a "normal" sized for clarity).
    Blanks? Someone enlighten me.

Off the top of my head, Herters, Aguila, and Rio make mini buckshot(although that shell wouldn't be from either). I'm sure there are other companies making them as well. I've seen buck and slug mini shells.

              Those are like mini shots.

I've never used them but I've seen them. I forgot what their use was but they are real 12 loads.

This dude managed to fit 24 rounds

It almost makes the KSG seem a little more interesting.

Which is why I wants the mini-shells.

                  Aguila 12Gauge 1.75" buckshot = four #1 pellets + seven #4 pellets @ 1200 FPS
                  Aguila 12Gauge 1.75" slug = one 7/8oz slug @ 1060 FPS

I just got some mini buck shot made by Noble Sport/Centurion from J&G Sales for my KSG. I couldn't find the aguilas in stock. I only bought 3 boxes to see how they shoot, if no issues gonna buy a case.

I've seen these around at the local range. A year ago I was talking to a guy who was shooting them. When asked what they were, he mentioned that they were "mini 12 gauge shells." Apparently the recoil is minimal, which was evident by the fact that his young daughter had no trouble shooting his 500.

1 ounce birdshot loads aren't exactly going to jackhammer your shoulder in a pump or O/U, and especially not in a semi auto.

$12.30 for a box of 20 5/8 oz shells isn't exactly spectacular pricing, since a little over half of that will actually get you a full 25 rd. box of 1 oz or even 7/8 oz. If those are still beating you up, you've got a serious fit issue.

Aguila is the stamp on them.
Thanks, I learned something new today.

They make them in a target load too, I have a friend that buys them for his wife to shoot at the range. The won't cycle in most semi auto's but will work as a single shot and most double barrel or single shot set ups.
