    I found that alternating between a full power handgun and an analogue in .22 helped me with that problem when I first started shooting.

      Doing this STILL helps me, and I've been shooting for decades.

        Dry fire dry fire dry fire...

        You will never totally eliminate it, it's programed into your brain. It's your body protecting it self. But you can compensate and combat it by dry firing and teaching your mind it's not THAT scary. Only a little scary lol
