    Which NRA magazine to get?

Joining the NRA today, which magazine should I get?

I only ask because none of them seem particulary appealing. I like Guns & Ammo and other tactical related magazines but the NRA offerings seem more hunting and politcally focused. I could be wrong I just dont have any knowledge of the three they offer which are American Rifleman, American Hunter and Americas first Freedom. Anyways thanks

do you have kids or a wife? get both

I get American Hunter and my son gets American Rifleman. both have the same 2A information, but then each has hunting or gun stuff. (as per the names)

I hear that you can get Americas first Freedom over the counter but not the others.
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

Good man! Thank you for joining. Based on what you've said, I would choose American Rifleman.

I don't hunt or have a rifle so I picked America's First Freedom.

If you choose the electronic versions, you get them all.

As McRifle says...sounds like you want American Rifleman.

Funny, I only got the option for one in electronic format.

I'm a life member and every year, I contact the NRA and switch magazines. I need a change every year or so and I don't like the electronic versions.

They all share the same content, except Rifleman has more gear reviews, Hunter has hunting tips and stories, and Freedom has nothing of value.

I get all three; my subscription is American Freedom, and my family gives me Rifleman/Hunter when they're done reading them.

Rifleman by far is the best.

Just switched to the digital edition of 1st Freedom. I like how they have embedded videos from Cam & Co every few pages. Really pulls it all together. I never have time to sit down with a print magazine but I'm always on the computer.
