Anyone have any experience with the HPG Kit bag?

Seems like it would be a great way to carry (where allowed) when outdoors. I like to do a lot of backpacking and carrying can be a problem due to the waist belt straps on a pack. In addition to storing a firearm, I think this kit bag would also be a great place to store a small survival kit in case I lose my primary pack for some reason. I also love how inconspicuous it looks. No need to scare any anti-gunners on the trail.

I have an Original Kit Bag in foliage and love it. The back compartment is discreet but still relatively easy to get open if you need it. (Takes practice though and I use a kydex trigger guard holster/cover just to be extra safe). I have carried a G19 and P226 and both stay put without sliding around.

You can also carry things you need quick access to while on the move like a map, compass, cell phone, snack, gloves, etc.

If you are carrying a larger/heavier pistol I would go lighter on other items though. It does well up to the 4-5lb range. After that I would want it attached to the straps of a backpack with the included lifters for extra support. If wearing it that way... load as heavy as you want.
I do believe that, where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence... I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honour than that she should, in a cowardly manner, become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. -- Mahatma Ghandi

Thanks romadant! I'll be placing an order for one soon and look forward to it. I will keep your tip about the weight issues in mind.
