Yea Ive said it's the seller choice also because they are the ones that start the parameters when they post their ad. It's obvious that both sides will negotiate the deal if both the seller and buyer are willing to bend a little.

There are a lot of flakes. The act of having an account on an internet forum does not magically make flakes reliable.
If anyone is going to flake, it'll be the buyer. I have more days behind me than in front and don't particularly care to waste those I have left sitting in gridlock for two hours for a no-show. As the seller I couldn't care less which FFL but I want one close by because there is a fairly good chance the buyer will flake and I'll never get that lost time back.
A seller may simply not want to deal with the traffic in certain areas. Don't assume the seller is desperate to sell and needs your cash to buy groceries. The odds are he's just grown bored with that particular gun. He's probably not nearly as motivated as you may hope so it's on his terms or you just need to move on.Your permission slip is only an election away.

With all due respect that is your opinion. Just like what I have said in earlier posts. Every sales ad it different. I stated the seller has set the parameters when they created the ad. Here's two extremes. 1. Seller puts a Colt Python for sale at 2000.00 unfired with box and original receipt. You can bet the potential buyers will do whatever it takes for them to get that handgun. Seller is in control. 2. Seller puts a S&W sigma 9mm for sale at $400.00 with 500 rounds through the barrel. You can bet the seller will due what it takes to unload that handgun for that price. Buyers are in control of that one. Just saying. There are a lot of flakes. The act of having an account on an internet forum does not magically make flakes reliable.

Do you have any reason to suspect you'd be more likely to encounter a $2k unfired Python than a flake? With all due respect that is your opinion. Just like what I have said in earlier posts. Always the sellers choice or a mutual agreement between parties.sigpic

I agree with the above, when it comes down to it, who is more in the driver's seat? The one who wins on the supply vs demand spectrum. If I am trying to sell 5,000 beanie babies, I probably should be willing to be more accommodating to buyer. If I am trying to sell an unused python at a fair market price, well then the buyer will probably have to play by my rules, because there may be a line waiting for that python.Comment

Seller's choice. Sometimes the choice is unfortunate, but the seller gets to set the terms of the sale. Buyer just gets to decide whether he or she can accept those terms. My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.Comment

It's part of the negotiation process.
If the buyer wants to pick an FFL local to them (to save them from having to make two trips), they should be willing to pay a premium for it.
That said, if the seller really needs to sell, they may need to be flexible.Comment
