    Body Armor question

I am considering getting 2 sets of Multi-Curved AR500 Spartan Body Armor 10" x 12" plates for the wife and I, and I wanted to know what is a good PC to get that will work with these. Heres a link to the plates. https://www.thetargetman.com/product...ag-protection/

A few things to note. I dont really want or need a carrier with tons of molle or add ons. Im an AK guy and I like the strikehard AK chest rig which is where Ill attach all my gear (just spare mags and an IFAK). I dont need or want side plates. I have no problem with a cumber, but I just dont want side plates. I might be interested in soft IIIA side inserts, but I absolutely hated the hard side plates on my IOTV when I was in Afghanistan. I might even be willing to have two sets of PCs, a lighter one for storage in my closet that can be quickly donned in an emergency, and a heavier set to have at a bug out location. Price is a factor, but I would not mind paying up to $200/PC as long as I am getting quality and they are compatible with my plates.

I cant think of anything else. If anyone with more experience with body armor has suggestions or further questions that can be useful, please share them. Im happy to learn more.

I picked up the tag banshee just cause of the price. It's actually built well for the money and I just looked it up and still on sale. I have a mag set for AK and AR for it and need a lr308 set next

Jump over to the Survival area. There is a thread titled, Body Armor; The Good, Bad and Ugly.. Lots of good info there.

Short answer is that a member named, 'd-r' is a fountain of knowledge on armor and carriers. IIRC, he recommended Beez Combat Systems as one example of a good RP carrier.

I like this one from SKD. Decently priced, I use it for my Patriot Plates. Easy to don/doff, fits me pretty well too. We will see how it holds up over the years.
This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it.

Get the shellback banshee. You need to buy the side plate carrier though seperate as it doesn't come with it. TAG makes those.

There's 3 colors at TAG on clearance at 115$ for the banshee. Then the 7x8 side plate is around like 29$ or something.

Don't skimp on cheap plate carriers. The operator II (condor) that comes with the ar500 package is a big pile of crap.
