    PayPal---NOT!

I know this has been brought up before but deserves mention again and again.
I just got an agreement update from PayPal. I actually looked it over and haven't agreed to it yet.
Here is a copy and paste from their own restrictions. Guns are considered the same as........

relate to transactions involving (a) narcotics, steroids, certain controlled substances or other products that present a risk to consumer safety, (b) drug paraphernalia, (c) items that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity, (d) stolen goods including digital and virtual goods (e) items that promote hate, violence, racial intolerance, or the financial exploitation of a crime, (f) items that are considered obscene, (g) items that infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, right of publicity or privacy or any other proprietary right under the laws of any jurisdiction, (h) certain sexually oriented materials or services, (i) ammunition, firearms, or certain firearm parts or accessories, or (j) ,certain weapons or knives regulated under applicable law.

    It's their TOS.
Violating it, can result in them freezing the transaction and seizing the funds in your account.

I don't understand why so many people want to use Paypal for gun related transactions.... We should not be supporting them.

Paypal is a very common payment type, and most people have them. Their standing on firearm is known. If their is a better way, i will use that.
But, you can use Paypal, and not support them. Send payment as family and friend so they don't get the fee.

          Meh.

Get a PayPal credit card. Buy everything you want with it, then transfer from your PP account to your PP credit card same day. They never make a penny off you in interest, you get your widget and they give you approx 3% cash back as a thank you for playing the game.

You could also use a linked CC to make the payment via PayPal. Money is transferred and if needs be you can go to the CC company and make a claim for non receipt of goods paid for and get them to reverse the payment.

Because it's the transaction standard solely due to Ebay. I used it because that was one of the only online backed web site I know of (still only really know).

But I then quickly learned in '11 when I bought a shot gun and $350 disappeared and I got the run around for about 6 months until it was finally refunded how non "guaranteed" their guaranteed transfers were.

If you refuse to do business with Paypal, then close your Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi Bank, Chase Bank, or US Bank account as well. They are all anti-gun, and some of the largest, most popular banking institutions in California.

Ever shop at Costco or Target, catch a flick at an AMC theatre, have a cup of coffee at Peets or Starbucks, grab a quick bite at CPK, Hooters, or Fridays, or have an RX filled at Walgreens? Well, they'd prefer that you take your CCW permit elsewhere.

The list of anti-gunners is endless, but the point is, I will not allow them to complicate my life. Instead, I will CCW in their stores, and use their institutions to fund purchases of firearms, ammunition, parts and accessories. In fact, not only have I obviously used Paypal to fund purchases of parts, but I have used Paypal to fund purchases of firearms.

That's my version or sticking it to them.
