Can you call him? Contact a mod to help, maybe they can provide more information. PM his friends on his friend list too.

How did you send the money? What form of payment was it?

Damn. I hope you get that lower. Being down $1250, I'd go head hunting.

Ive always asked sellers when buying something expensive on here to send me a scan of their drivers license. If they dont, they dont get my money.

Also for anyone reading this - always get the S/N of the item you've purchased and put this on the payment you've made. When the person doesn't ship, report it as stolen.

Did you use PayPal? If so, hopefully you didn't 'gift' the money or else you aren't protected from fraud. Even if I know a seller has a good reputation, I still never gift the money and would rather pay the extra 3% fee myself. That way, even if the seller has good intentions but left out some details or didn't notice something, I can open a claim and get my hard-earned money back. A lot of people have lax or easy jobs and make a bunch of disposable income so it isn't a big deal to them. I actually earn my paycheck and risk my life and job every day on crazy CA roads so I'm not going to let someone screw me if I can help it.

PayPal wouldn't cover it being firearm related and is against their policy.
