I tend to agree with this statement. Nobody in the world other than the US has really adopted 40 S&W as a standard.

In fact, 40 was developed at the request of the FBI!
For the FBI to now reject it is as big of blow possible to 40.
      They went from a .38 P+ to 10mm to a 10mm lite, to .40.

Of course facts make no difference in this kind of discussion but really, if a few 100ths of an inch difference in expanded diameter make you feel better, then go with what makes you feel better. This is just a random data set I chose. You can find dozens if you like, but all good quality SD/HD ammo is roughly about the same.

If you're good enough that you can decide you need to move your shot placement 0.07 inches up/down/left/right to miss the BGs rib and sever that artery, then you're a shooting god, in my book.

You didn't select 230 grain 45acp. This is the most dominant load by far for 45. The expanded diameter is more like .8" for the typical 45.

230gr simply wasn't in the data set I grabbed. Feel free to reinterpret my statement to "0.12 inch" instead of "0.07 inches up/down/left/right". It's perfectly fine with me if you feel that is a significant difference.
