1st experience at Poway Weapons and Gear

I went to poway weapons and gear today and used their 100yrd range. I have to say I am quite impressed by the store and range. They must have had 100 plus long guns on the wall with what appeared to be a couple ksg shottys, plenty of ar / ak variants etc, tons of pistols and ammo. Their range was clean, their staff was really helpful and attentive. I was told they are getting the cameras for the 100 yrd range which is helpful, and that they will be allowing presenting from a holster soon as well, plus they will allow steel core ammo. They do make you take a test your first time you shoot thereand get a 5$ card but to be honest if someone cant pass that test I am not sure I want them shooting next to me so I am ok with that. I am stoked to see San Diego get a store/ range like that and hope we get more.

I've been there about a dozen times since they opened. Mostly positive in my experience. A couple of the workers there are a little too "tactical" when it comes to rules.

I've had two different employees tell me two different rules on a single issue. Over all I use the range and that's about it. Prices seem high on their firearms and accessories. The ammo is decently priced though.

      ^^^^^^^^^

How do they handle us "brass monkeys" that reload and want to collect our own brass?
      Tire kickers gonna kick,
      Nose pickers gonna pick
I and others know the real

Ive been there twice for some shooting and not to bad a time. That $20 "ding on target holder" fee messes with my shooting. Im always aiming a little low for fear of hitting that thing. The range is mighty clean and fine. Glad SD for the range.

The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!
