I'm not familiar with the issues during the campaign. What kind of things was Hunt saying? Corruption? Incompetence? Criminal accusations? Certainly people reading the newspapers in the area must have a clue what this is about.

Enumerated what was wrong with the administration at the moment, what could be improved, and (I think the most damaging to Corona) had the support of the sherriff's association.

Hunt's stance on CCWs was also (paraphrased) "personal protection is a valid reason, if you pass the background check I believe you should be allowed to carry" and would have effectively made Orange County shall-issue had he been elected.

Thanks for responding but I still don't get it. At what point did he go "...beyond those [public statements] which are protected by the First Amendment..." ? He must have said something libelous.

Jeeze, I can't believe you guys havn't read what I've been saying about Corona for the past 4 months. Hes corrupt.

They have PICTURES of him and those below him in co-horts with mobsters. There are NUMOROUS police brutality reports and INVESTIGATIONS into the orange county sheriff's department that all get shot down.


This is just the tip of the iceberg. If he would do this, imagine what else he does and could do.

Only if you know that you don't have what it takes to properly serve the people and you don't want anyone who has a chance against you to win. This is the same thing with the US Government, theoretically, we should be allowed to own any firearms we want, because provided that the US Government does a good job serving us, what do they have to worry about? Oh wait, they do know that they're doing a crap job so instead of trying to make reform, they'd rather just sit on their asses and disarm us.
