    Took my CZ SP-01 out

Took my CZ SP-01 out for the first time on Sunday. LOVE it. I know I'm going to hate myself for not getting the P-09 for my final SSE. I hope the marketplace will have some come Jan. so I can PPT. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Get a CZ 75 Shadow before year end. You're welcome.

Or send your SP-01 to CGW and save a SSE spot.

Well I have no spots left...hence the reason I can't get the p-09.
But tell me more about CGW? What do they do? New with handguns in general. Enlighten me oh wise one.

Trigger job (+ other goodies like new hammer depending on funds.) Fixes the only thing "wrong" with the CZ, the trigger and maybe sights.

Have to ship it there unless you buy one of their custom jobby's so get everything done at once. Or do it yourself if you're handy depending on what you're doing.

Hey, you can start small and go with lightened springs for like $7 shipped if you're comfortable doing it yourself.

Most important is shoot the snot out of it! more ammo!

SmilingPup: CZ produce some fine pistols and I was debating between a CZ 97, CZ P07, and Sig P320. Went for the CZ P07 and Sig P320. Just curious as to why you prefer P09 over a P07? I picked a P07 because I can use CZ75 mags that I already have for the P07, but the CZ75 mags are a tad shorter for the P09.

BTW your pup is very cute.

Get my SP-01 (first gun too) last last Saturday and took it out on the same day. I could not stand the trigger. I ended up order a bunch of parts off CZC that night and started disassembling and polishing the internals.

Went to the range twice over the weekend and it feels much much better. I'd estimate 6.5# DA, 2# SA. And it's so much easier to look down the Competition rear sights and fiber optic front sight.

Waiting for my Short Reset System, CGW disco, and CGW sear.

Doing all the mods are quite easy, but require the right tools which aren't expensive at all and lots of patience.

At this point, I'm still pondering if I should have gotten an SP-01 Shadow instead since I've almost spent the same amount of money...

I have the cz sickness as well. Never shot one. Shot the Jericho 941 a lot that I guess is sorta similar.

I really want a sp-01 w/ manual saftey for some reason. Seems like calguns is going cz crazy, probably making ppl want them like me. That's why they are always hard to find probably

I did the CGW Race hammer upgrade, extended firing pin, new pins and springs on 75BD and I can't believe what a difference it made. The hammer alone is a night and day difference. Pretty simple to do if you have a decent set of punches and take your time. There are some great videos on youtube to guide you through it.

I got my SP-01 from somebody here a while back. Its the only gun I bought in CA that I haven't replaced lol. It has since spawned a P-01, a P-07, a 97b, a 52 and an 82 CZ bug bit me hard
