I dont care for gloves, I have a better feel and control without them. I only wear them when its cold. I actually like the Home Depot mechanix style gloves better than the Mechanix name brand gloves.

I don't either; but my hands are always torn up from trips to the range. I'm wary of being tactifool... but there is necessity involved...

With a fingertip glove you will still be able to feel the rifle and have any heat build-up be able to vent, unless you were in the Coalinga this wekend like I was a fingertip glove isnt much of a cooling aid .Almost forgot...they do provide some wrist support!

Mechanix are a good way to go but I don't like the amount that it reduces your tactile feedback and ability to manipulate controls etc. It makes trigger pulls feel less precise too. Cutting fingertip could solve this problem but I personally don't like it.

I actually use baseball gloves. Probably wouldn't help you with your heat problem, but I have found that they are a good compromise between protection vs. tactile feel / manipulation.

Regular Mechanix gloves. I have one pair for shooting and another for working. Cost me $20 for both. Beats the crap out of the "Blackhawk Tacticool FDE" crap that runs $80 for a single pair.

Bob Allen all-leather shooting gloves. Cheap, good feel, replace after they get torn up, 'cause they're cheap!
