    Ruger p345?

The p345 seems to get good reviews, solid build, prices is very reasonable. Thinking about getting one for the range/practice.
    Any thoughts/advices?

They are built like a tank.

Have you considered the SR45? I think the SR looks a little thinner and more streamlined.

Yes, but I think SR45' is a double stack mag. Also, p345 will cost less to owned.

Off roster now, SSE might to add some fee in the price.

Something with a hammer and cost effective, P series are nice.

          Should be plenty to PPT.

Ruger makes good guns. You get a lot compared to what you pay, in my opinion.

OP, I think you will do fine with a P345.

P90 used is another alternative. All metal, inexpensive and accurate as can be.

              very good guns

Other than the warning not to dry fire w/o a mag installed I cannot recommend them enough. Accurate, soft recoiling, and good ergonomics.

P345s and other P series show up often in the market place. They never get a decent price since new ones are quite reasonable and often discounted by retailers. I bought a hi cap one in Reno as my first free state residency purchase and was OTD under $400 for the 9mm with an extra magazine that was over 10 rounds.

Thing is this they work all the time, are robust and handle most any ammo so they are great for reloading people that like to play with formulas a little.....but they be UGLY and thus will never be anything but work horses.

I have one, no real problems with it.

I removed the magazine disconnect, I think people call it "cleaning under the rear sight". No problems related to it but it can screw things up if you dry fire.

I tried some +P 230gr JHP ammo (P45HST1) and it didn't like that. Haven't tried any other HP and haven't had any problems with ball ammo.
