Bullet Blocker Products (including kid's backpacks)

BulletBlocker: Made in America, superior quality NIJ IIIA rated Bulletproof Vest, Body Armor, Tactical Gear and Bullet-Resistant Protective Clothing.

This is too expensive for me right now but I like the concept of ballistic gear worked into useful daily items.
False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

With all the violence in schools today, those aren't a bad idea.

Interesting. When I was at the Costa Mesa Gun Show, maybe 4-6 mos ago, I was looking at the vests a vendor was selling. The had a very large selection. They told me that some people were trying to make them illegal to sell. I said, with all the violence in schools, people should be sending their kids to school wearing these. She, of course, agreed. She was saying that Law enforcement did not want the criminals getting ahold of them.

Was there someone trying to make it so civilians could not buy these?

I don't think I've met a vest vendor who DOESNT try that FUD on everyone.

No one's trying to ban vests.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

IIRC, it is illegal for a felon to possess body armor.

Well, maybe she thought I was a felon.

A few years back ther were some rumblings about making civilian body armor sales illegal. I get my stuff at a police supply store. Check out www.bulletproofme.com/ They will custom cut soft panels for back packs or hard plates for any application.
There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

+1...I think it is a sales tactic...a very common one you know to develop urgency in the client.
