    Magazine storage solution?

I keep my ammo in a storage locker, and it's full.
I keep my rifles in my gun safe, but I have the shelving installed whre I keep my magazines organized.

now that I'm getting an 03, I need to take the magazines out of the safe.
I can't hang them on the door - i use that for handguns.

I don't have room for a second safe. Anyone have a clever magazine storage solution?

Ffl 03? Why would that have an effect on magazine storage, or are you talking about using that space for all the c&r purchases you're going to be making?

all the extra space. Half of my safe is carefully organized magazines. I'm going to pull the shelves and fill it with "new" rifles very soon, I hope.

Had the same issue...my solution was to commandeer one of the Miss. nightstand drawers. If you're going to do, you should reinforce the wood. I used two steel bars and it has been holding up quite well. The drawer is locked using a chain.

On a related note...does anyone know the cost to have cable installed in the dog house? I am going to need it when she finds out Victoria Secret's has been replaced by "Federal."

I store my rifle magazines in plastic milk crates. Each crate has a sheet of paper on top listing what's in it.Handgun and .22 mags are in a craft storage box I bought at Walmart or Target.(don't remember).Had to order extra dividers online from manufacturer.

Crates stacked in closet. Will need to start a second stack soon.

^ That's what I'm talking about! Craft boxes are a great idea.

                  Ideas:

Something like this for a closet door...they make them in see through mesh or fabric too...and you can store holsters and other things in them too...

Ammo cans work for a lot of things

Go to Target or WallyWord and buy some clear plastic storage bins

I keep a select few magazine in the safe.

The rest go into ammo cans loaded.

What Tank57 posted. I have too many to bother keeping them all loaded at once(and some for guns I don't even own, so no point in loading them). If I ever get to the point where I need more than a handful of mags loaded at once, something has gone horribly wrong and "more mags" probably isn't going to solve it.

I got a really long magnet and mounted it on the wall near safe. Holds about 30 loaded (CA) mags.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Hanging shoe storage things for the back of the door or on a hanger in the closet.

On a shelf? I don't see why you'd need somewhere special.

I need somewhere compact/portable-ish with enough security to keep loaded magazines away from grubby fingers.
