    Trip to Nevada

I'll be driving to Reno next weekend. Any suggestions on things to buy while in Nevada? I shoot pistol and rifle, especially the AR. Bay Area gun stores are sparse with a lot of profiteering.

I was in Reno a couple of months ago and unless you can find ammo on sale at Cabela's there wasn't anything to get excited about. Still better off buying stuff online and I don't think that will change for many years to come.

Land with a house on it.

Don't come back to California, it is not worth it.

Maybe mags and convert to 10/30s PRIOR to you crossing the border. But you can buy those here. So....

Ammo will be your best bet. Otherwise, there's nothing you can buy and take back legally that you couldn't buy in CA or online.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Not illegal to own or use. Can be deemed a nuisance and confiscated by LEOs (they are exempt enforcers of the law).

As of Jan 1, 2000 it is illegal to import, manufacture, keep for sale, expose for sale, sell and lend magazine that hold more than 10 rounds in the state of California, regardless of make/model/caliber of firearm.

Buying magazines that hold more than 10 rounds in any other state and bringing them back to California is illegal.

Head down to Carson City and there are some decent gun stores. A little further down to Minden and you can go shooting in the desert.

The Sportsmans Warehouse in Carson is bound to have some powder.
