Moving To San Fran

So I got a job opportunity in San Fran, always thought that I would try and leave the state, but this was something I couldn't pass up. Anyways, my search-fu and googling abilities don't seem to be up to snuff and I can't find an answer to a question I had and I recall seeing it on here somewhere.

I have rebuild kits acquired before the statewide ban, but is there a specific ordinance for San Francisco that prohibits having them? Pretty much the only major difference that I have found relates to ammo purchases, which doesn't bother me as much as I will still be making trips to San Diego and can just ship it to a friends house, but I would like to bring the rebuilds with me if possible.

edit: I'm a resident of San Diego right now, so I understand the gun laws, but just curious to see if SF has anything specific outside the already constraining laws

Move to a more friendly city on the peninsula.... Daly City, San Bruno, etc.. You're still close enough to the stench of SF without being stuck knee deep in it.

Working in SF doesn't mean living in SF.

What are you looking to pay and how much space do you want?

I've always lived in the burbs, most places in SF of the same size rent at 40-60% higher with no parking space.

The first thing you'll need to know is: don't call it "San Fran." The only thing worse would be calling it "Frisco." Just stick with "San Francisco" or "the City," and you'll be fine.

If the job pays less.than 200k it is not going to be easy to live in SF. The average one bedroom is over $3200 a month, that is average, not nice and most likely without parking. There are only a few groups in SF, subsidized leeches, trust fund babies or inheritance home owners, older people who got in a long time ago or very highly paid mostly liberal hipsters.

Doesn't CA have a law prohibiting cities and counties from having their own gun laws? Or does SF claim they aren't gun laws because they don't ban the gun itself (although they tried to)?

Go to Vallejo or Benicia. You can take the ferry or Bart to the city and apply for a CCW at the Solano County Sheriff.

You could work in SF, but just don't live there. Find a place in the East Bay or down The Peninsula to call home. I live in Alameda and my commute via BART is much faster than the folks in the Avenues of SF.

I worked in San Fransisco and Lived in Pacifica and loved it. Look into Pacifica it's a country beach city with great surfing(your from San Diego). Most pretty landscape and walking distance to ocean, 10 minute drive to Bart and much cheaper rent than SF. Living in SF isn't for everybody crazy expensive, crowded, no parking so you don't want to drive anywhere without losing your parking spot. Good luck
