Open Carry-OC or Concealed Carry - CC

This was touched upon in another thread and I thought I would continue it here to get your personal preference and why you think one is preferred over the other.

I personally like to CC in everyday life but prefer OC when target shooting, hunting or walking in the wilderness/desert

I UOC frequently. I get a few looks, but no MWAG calls, no heavy questions, no panicking screaming old ladies with babies running for cover.

I am very careful with the 1000' rule, keep my driving strictly to the law (I drive a lowered Ranger), and always dress so as to not look odd or extreme.

I prefer that people can see it, and also see that I am not a nutcase, gangbanger, or a threat.
