Any out of state FFL's who will ship to CA?

You can see my thread here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...ad.php?t=35386

I am looking for someone who can receive a rifle for me, remove the pistol grip, and send the gun in two seperate packages. That way I can pin the mag before putting the pistol grip back on. The problem is getting someone to ship one of these directly to CA. It seems like a lot of people/places have policies against shipping weapons here.

This thread would also be helpful for anyone trying to do the same thing either now or in the future.

I hope you have a FFL willing to receive whichever complete rifle you are ordering. A lot of them might be willing to do unassembled lowers or receivers, not many are willing to touch complete rifles.

I *may* have found an out of state guy to do this for me.

Now I need to find a local FFL who will accept it. Also, the out of state FFL would have to remove the pistol grip. I am not sure how easy those things come off. If he can take it off himself, that will be fine, but if he has to take it to a gunsmith, I do not know how much more $$$ it would be.

Are you talking about an AR? Its one little screw to remove the grip.

Cold War Shooters will dissassemble the rifle.

San Jose Gun Exchange will do the transfer here for $50 + dros...

                San Jose is far, though.

However, if it was the only choice, I would do it. Driving out there twice would be a bummer, though.

Don't they also sell AR lowers? Anyone know how much?

I don't know which forum it was on, but the guy from spreadfire arms in Austin Texas said that he'd do it for like $25 or something. Just take off the pistol grip and then ship to your Kalifornia FFL.

I am currently not looking for someone anymore. But, if you still want to keep posting leads, continuing to do so might help other people in the future who run searches.

                    Just a thought.
