Question:
First I'm new here, so haiiii :-) But in summary, in 2006 I bought brass knuckles in Arizona and was on probation and all that nonsense here in California. I'm off that probation, no warrants - everythings totally 100% done with.
2 Months ago I applied for a Remington 710 30.06; and a XD 45 caliber handgun. All went well, I was approved - and given my guns.
On 9/20/2014 - I applied for my second handgun (XD 9mm) - today is day 9; my pickup date is tomorrow (9/30). I just now received a call from the gun place saying my "status was delayed".
I'm so irritated that California has this 10 day waiting law from the get go. I looked up on the DOJ website and saw this; (http://oag.ca.gov/firearms/) -- they have three classifications; Denied, Rejected, or Delayed. Well thankfully it wasn't rejected or denied. Has anyone been delayed? Is this common? I see that this could be anything from "an open end in the legal system, to simply them being busy".
It wouldn't surprise me tho if they just wanted to find a reason to prevent gun ownership in this state though. But keep in mind, this is the second DROS and my first 2 months back went through successfully.
Thanks in advance everyone :-)

I purchesed a rossi m92 on11-22-14 was notified on 11-28 of delayed status. I have no reason why. This is not my first time buying a fireare in Ca. Last year I purchesed a shotgun without an issue. I have no idea what to do.
but whole process left a bad taste in my mouth. I mean I had to wait an extra 20 days to receive it and I have no idea why. If I decide to purchese another firearm will I have to go through this again. It kinda makes you wonder what is going on at the CA DOJ.
