M&P 40 Mag. Question

Ok so this is a dumb question as im almost sure it will work, But i had a friend tell me he was told it would not.

If me and my friend go to Vegas and he takes his M&P 40 with him can we use 15 round magazines from My Mother in Laws M&p 40 on his ?? Meaning it will fit right ?? I told him it should be the same thing except for the Ca. mags having a limiter of some kind.

Yes, the 15 rnd mag will work in your CA Compliant M&P40. The base of the 10 rnd mag has a plastic riser that limits the number of rounds that can be loaded. The overall dimensions of the 2 mags are the same.

10 rnd Mag. Notice the extra plastic at the base of the metal body.

Tell your friend who said it wont work that...Because the M&P was purchased in CA it will go into slide lock on the 10th round shot from the magazine even if there are rounds more left to be fired. He will then need to insert a new mag and may continue firing.

Then when it doesn't happen look all confused and say, "well the internet told me that would happen".
