    Shipping ammo to CA

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I need some help and would like to ask a question real quick.

I'm a business out of state and a CA customer just bought some shotgun ammo. It's 12ga. and .410. His location is in the Contra Costa County.

Is it okay to ship the ammo straight to him?

Thank you very much and I do appreciate your help.

Yes, you can ship to Contra Costa.

The state itself has no restrictions yet (certain infamous politicians have tried repeatedly). Some local counties and cities have some ordinances on the books, but most, including the one in Contra Costa, are written to govern brick-and-mortar businesses in the jurisdiction.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Thanks you two, I appreciate your help. CA is always changing and it's hard for me to keep up with all that stuff.

toddh, thanks for the link. I have it already in my favorites but just wasn't 100% sure. So I asked the pro's!

        Thank you, I appreciate it.

          .
Site contains FUD. There are no restrictions specifically for the city of Los Angeles regarding online ammo purchases. I have purchased thousands of rounds and so have friends that live nearby, not to mention my friendly local UPS driver who delivers literally tons of ammo locally.

@JJEH: It's too bad they all can't get together on this, it would save you out-of-state vendors lots of headaches. Thanks for checking instead of forgetting about us altogether.

I live in CoCo county and buy 99% of my ammo by mail. It comes either UPS or FedEx ground.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

I know right. There are just too many wrong people in too many powerful positions.

No one forgets about CA. We love it there and also have family and friends there. It's just the laws that leave a lot of question marks in my head...

A couple of month ago I emailed CA DOJ to find out what I have to do to get a DES account. I tried it online and it says I need a COA# and CFD# which I don't have. I haven't received an answer yet.
