    Ordered a Custom Rifle Rack

Hey everybody, just wanted to let everyone know I just received my Custom Rifle Rack I ordered from Tac Rak. This thing is built like a tank, no joke. Im very happy with the outcome, and I'm very impressed with the quality of work.

Yes its not a safe, but this is an awesome way to show off your rifles.

*These are not my toys, just a product picture of what I purchased*

I started with a large one ( I know, crazy right), but since they are pretty good and do exactly what I need them to do, I plan on buying one more little one for upstairs.

I am no way affiliated with Tac Rak, was just posting and trying to help and get the word out about the quality and just a plain old cool product.

        Ordered a Custom Rifle Rack

What is this for really? You're right about it not being a safe and thus isn't a good way for long term storage. I can see this would be cool in a walk in vault room (my lottery dream ) or a place to set rifles down at a gun club/range. Why for one at home?

Well, because I dont want a safe and this is how I want to store my rifles. Plain and simple.

And, when I was speaking to the guy at Tac Rak, he informed me that a lot of his racks do go to vault rooms in CA, but in the other free states people love them

You're really opening a can of worms there sir. Do you mean to say that you don't have a safe and instead opted to have this rack in its place? There are many in the mindset that if you can't afford a safe: you can't afford to own guns. If that's the case, you need to reevaluate some important fundamentals of safety and personal responsibility.

Well, Im not that guy in that mindset, sorry.

I can afford a safe, but I dont want one.

I love how every CA person tries to be "that" guy that has to say that.

Call me ignorant or whatever you'd like, but these things are sweet, and make my girls look great.

And sir who said that, maybe someone has more rifles than their safe can hold, and dont want a larger safe since it takes up more room in one spot vs. having a safe full, and maybe not wanting to put another safe upstairs/downstairs.

Go tell that statement about owning a safe to someone in a different state and I'm sure you'd get a variety of answers.

Might I suggest a long cable lock ran though the trigger guards.

We had a gun cabinet growing up in So San Gabriel, my dad ran hardened chain through the trigger guards, not only to keep then from getting stolen but to keep us kids from getting at em.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

You must be new to guns if you want to show them off instead of putting them away in your safe...

please be careful, loose lips will have scum trying to come into your castle to take them.

                      and... it does look cool.

I don't get it. If I want to admire a rifle, I take it out of the safe for a while. To each, his own. Not for me. I also agree with sfbay, people love to talk.

You're not "that guy in the mindset"? What do you mean? You're not into a mindset of safety and responsibility?

A safe isn't just a good idea but it also happens to be the best way of keeping your weapons away from thieves and people who shouldn't have ready access (kids, mentally disturbed, Dick Cheney).

And so far, yes you do sound ignorant for thinking this rack takes the place of a safe. Why do you keep implying that the rest of the country ("free states") feels the way you do? Only CA folk buy safes? I doubt that.

Well for this, no duh loose lips sink ships, therefore, I only show my family and loved ones close to me. So. Not too much to worry about there.

Only CA guys are in the annoying mindset "if you cant afford a safe you cant afford a gun" This is just dumb, because that is not the case.

Go tell that statement to someone in a "free state" and they might/ probably agree. A safe is only a LITTLE harder to get into with the right tools. And its not a huge list of tools.

This is something for my walk-in vault room. So, you guys can look at it how you want, Im just really impressed with this rack I bought and thought I'd share. Thats All
