              Not true.
              Straw purchases are illegal.
Buying guns as gifts under the guidelines of federal, state, and local law is perfectly legal.

                Stop being dramatic.

Its a given in this discussion I meant straw purchasing.

If a person can't buy a gun... You should not be buying a gun for them... DUH!!
They are prohibited for at least one reason.

I'm not certain her attorney fully understands the legal concept of "straw purchase". I guess this is the "she did it but didn't know he was going to misbehave" defense.

I've legally bought guns as a gift, legally sold guns privately, and it's generally turned out fine. Every once in a while free will happens though.

But that's not what happened here - he was a prohibited person and she bought them under her name and illegally transferred them to him knowing he was prohibited.

What about people claiming that flippers buying SSE guns are conducting straw purchases? Seems like they are basing it off LEOs who got in trouble buying and selling off roster guns? I guess the person was "prohibited" from buying that gun or was the gun itself prohibited? I thought as long as you legally transferred ownership via PPT or whatever then it isn't a straw purchase.
