Bond Arms derringer in Calif ?

I know the Bond Arms guns are not available in Calif. but on this months Blue Press (monthly magazine put out by Dillon) there is a advert for Bond Arms that says "coming soon to California"

How could they do that ? maybe make a permanent single shot to get around the roster ? I would dearly love a .410 and x caliber toy from them. I have not decided the "x" part, I think 45LC but there are so many to choose from I assume .410 is what the problem is with this gun in Calif. so maybe they will make a barrel combo that does not include the .410, but I am just guessing.

Anyway, the question is does anyone know what they will sell (or are going to try and sell) in Calif. ? There is nothing on their website about it, i looked all over.

Last I saw about the bond arms CA model, was the possibility of a receiver and barrel modified so you can't swap in the .410 barrel.

As of last month, there are two Bond Arms derringers on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.

The CA approved Bond Arms derringers are chambered in .45LC and the barrels can not be changed.

Under CA laws, a .410 barrel makes a handgun into a SBS.

I don't think the "can't swap barrels" is what got them into CA, successfully passing the drop tests and roster certification is what got them into CA.

I wonder why they went that route. because someone could change to a different off-roster barrel? whats the difference between that and putting a LW barrel in a Glock? Is bond arms trying to protect me from myself so I don't put a .45/410 barrel on it?

Considering nothing stopped them from getting existing guns on the roster, it seems to be a case of paranoia over CA's SBS crap and .410, and their company wanting to have absolutely nothing to do with it in any way whatsoever.

the website does not mention it anywhere and you can't find this page via their menu system, it must be a link somewhere on the site.
