I had some magazines that I left in my cart and did not purchase. Soon afterwards I get this email.

"It has come to our attention that you were interested in purchasing the following items below.

I took the liberty to check and make sure that we do have does items in stock and ready to be shipped out to you. Also, with my supervisors authorization, I will go ahead and add to your order the Kley-Zion Stinger Practical Tactical Pen ($25 Value) at no cost for you this time only. Please advise if I can assist you with finalizing your purchase."

I called the rep and said I would purchase the magazines if they threw in the tactical pen. She put me on hold for 15 minutes and then came back and said her supervisor wouldn't let her do that. Nice customer service. Offer an incentive and take it back. I know she said "with my supervisors authorization", but why make the offer without getting the authorization first.

Back when botach first reared its ugly online there were consistent complaints on forums of how they would take your money despite whether or not they had the item in stock. If not you were SOL. If they did have it in stock you'd get a good deal.

Common practice back then was to call them first to make sure they had it in stock before purchasing online.

They've gotten better since then but I still don't make my purchases from them regardless of how good the deal sounds.

Yup, I made the mistake once too. They sent me the wrong item and when I called to return they wanted me to take a photo of the item to prove that I did get the wrong item. WTF! Then for weeks they said a warehouse person needed to verify the item in the photo WTF!! I finally did a cc charge back and never shopped there again. Over a year later, I got an email that they were changing there systems, but not to worry cause my case was still open WTF! LOL!!!

BK is a dick. Just tell them you are so or so SWAT officer and they will bend for you.

Or better yet take your business elsewhere.
