How many of you have had a gun deal go bad?

Seller/buyer jerked you around for ages and then flaked?

Bought something that wasn't as described?

Flat out had your money stolen?

    Etc.

Over 10 years and never had a complaint from a buyer, and I have never had a bad buying experience (a couple of times at Traders, but they were always kinda rude).

.....Too many times for me to remember.

Bought something that wasn't as described?
.....Been lucky on this, maybe's it due to the fact I won't buy anything without a picture first. (unless we are talking about ammo.

Flat out had your money stolen?
...... Won a scope off of eBay for a good price, sent a USPS MO and then had the seller send me back the MO a month later with no note as to why nor any response.

Bought a barrelled VZ-52 receiver from Military Gun Supply, and they kept saying the transfer dealer never sent them their FFL. I approached the dealer (Socal Guns on Convoy) a number of times, they said they'd sent the info, but apparently one side or the other never went through. Truthfully, I don't know which FFL flaked, I only know I never got my gun.

That went on for months until they just went ahead and refunded my money.

My DROS expired, and Socal Guns doesn't seem to think that transfer fees should be refundable (even as store credit) so I was out $87 for a gun I never received, after the refund.

I made an appointment at to meet for a PPT, and got stood up. It wasn't too bad as I wasn't out anything and just spent an hour and a half BSing in the funshop that I would have spent at work.
If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

Check this out, I sold a 1911 receiver to another California resident on Gunbroker. He paid immediately... and never made arrangements to transfer the receiver! It's been almost a year, I have his $200 AND the 1911!

When I read the thread title, I immediately thought of the movie "Ronin".
If you're not a resident of California, please don't waste your time trying to sell handguns here. A: your handgun is not on the approved list, and can't be sold here or B: We can already get it here with less hassle.

Thank you CGF and Leadership FFLs for NeRFing the roster!

Only one time, long long ago. It took me 4 months to get my money back. Tracked the a-hole down at his new job and told him I'm not leaving until this is settled. He got the money out of his employer's cash register and I left.

I have had very good experiences. In fact the guy that I bought my XD40 from (on here) sent me a message after I posted in a thread that I had had a problem with it (slide locked back on full mag 2x in 500+ rounds).

As a side note anyone that is thinking about buying or selling anything online should read this thread (at least the first 20 or so pages )

I ordered an Imbel Fal receiver before they went dry from a place called Michaels gunshop in Dublin. I paid the guy in cash, in full up front. He said he was going to drive to TDW to pick it up, and check out what else they had. We called them up, guy on the phone said they had tons in stock and everyone was happy. I called the dealer up two weeks later to ask when I should come in to start my DROS and he said he hadn't made it out there yet. This went on for weeks. Finally four months later I finally got my money back. Apparently, those guys are out of business now. I wonder why.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.
