    New safe (Cannon CA23)

    Hello Calgunners,

I just got a new house so it was about time to get a proper safe. Most of my guns are short and don't fit correctly in the precut gun slots. I'm thinking of setting up a shelf below them to raise them up. Anyone else come across this issue? what did you do to resolve it?

    thanks

    Congrats on your new safe.

I used a shelf for the shorter long guns.

There's no reason not to add a shelf to help raise them up if your guns are too short. I was able to use the last notch on the shelf brackets & cut a piece of plywood to server as a shelf. It also gave me another space to store some bulk ammo packs underneath.

I lined my floor with .22 lr bricks. Problem solved.

Don,t place too much weight on those Cannon shelfs. They are particle board and can crack!
