    Weird winchester 45 rounds. (Pic)

I found a couple of 45 rounds looked a bit odd in the back. They're marked 14 and one has red stuff in the back. (Pictured)

I shot a few rounds and did get a ftf, it wasn't till after I picked up a few of the brass cases and found one also marked 14 wma.

Anyone else have this going on w their box of 100 winchester white box?

I don't think so. Just fmj, target ammo.

Bullet looks normal, just the brass.

Looks like some Match cases with not very well sealed primers (wonder why?) sneaked into your batch of target ammo.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

That red crud was a primer sealant to keep moisture/oils whatever from ruining the primer.

I've never seen it deteriorate like that..... They look awful.

Some really nutjob reloaders want to seal their primers with nail polish for that extra tacticool ammo.

A lot of premium ammo has sealant on it from factory- but like I said... never seen it dry up and crumble out like that.....

                  Interesting stuff.

Yeah I guess there were only 2 of those in the pack. I'm kind of sure one of them caused the gun to malfunction, I shot like 3 magazines of 5 and only had that one ftf

As everyone has already posted, the red stuff is primer sealant. I've seen something similar on a round found in a box of wolf .223, that was left in relatively hot room for some time.
Did you just purchase the box?

give Winchester a call. they should refund you or give you another box.

You think so? It was only 2 rounds.
