More proof that guns and drugs don't mix but check out the partially assemble ak47 pics after reading the article.

For the past 2 months, undercover detectives assigned to the SLPD Crime Suppression Unit have been conducting an investigation into a clandestine marijuana lab in San Leandro, which yesterday, led ...

So home built AR15s are now illegal if they can accept 30 round mags? Nice try, new media.

prevent damage to the barrel threads during transport? My build kit was nicely packed and had a rubber sleeve over the charging handle to prevent it from puncturing the box.

Almost everybodys AR/AK has the ability to accept a standard cap mag..guess we're all criminals now?

AFAIK, even felons and prohibited persons can possess parts kits and flats. but don't fold that flat or yer in trouble!

There were no AK47s pictured. There were parts but no receivers so, legally, those were not firearms or partially completed firearms at all. Ban orange thread protectors. Ban ignorant LEOs who open their mouths and prove to the world that they are full of scat. Ban marijuana. Ban cars that are capable of going faster than 25mph (since that the speed limit in school zones).

Didn't someone get hit with constructive possession last year for being prohibited with parts to build an AK? It was some were in SoCal if I remember correctly.

“It is frightening to know that AK-47 assault rifles capable of penetrating body armor worn by law enforcement officers were made to look like toys. We are happy that we were able to take 5 assault rifles out of the hands of someone involved in criminal activity,” stated Lt. Robert McManus.

                        Check out People v Nguyen.

For all of those previous posters who suggested the LEO's were acting out of line, Nguyen pretty much sets a precedent.

You think the SLPD is full of leftists?
