What did I carry?

I was in the Air Force (Law Enforcement) for three years. 1985-1988. Our standard sidearm was a S&W .38. That's all I remember.

Anyone know the specifics of the model that was most likely to be?

I'd like to pick one up just for giggle.

S&W Model 15 .38 caliber pistol?

-Standard issue sidearm of the U.S. Air Force Police from 1962 until 1992 when it was replaced by the Beretta M9 pistol.
-Built on the medium-size "K" frame.
-Fitted with a 4-inch (Standard) barrel.
