    Ruger GP100 Stainless Steel owners

I've been polishing my Ruger and i'm very happy with the results

i noticed that my trigger doesn't appear to be stainless steel, so, i've never attempted to polish it up, but...i've been thinking about it

so, if you have the same type of trigger is it polishable or not

im having thoughts about it, i don't really want a trigger that becomes somewhat slick on my finger, but, it sure would look nice

    what say ye Ruger comrades

My 4.2" trigger seems to be polished, I know the rest of the gun is. The trigger is about the same shine.

Not sure how they did it. I bought it all hooked up and polished. But to answer your question yea it looks like its polishable.

Maybe they changed it up since I bought mine, but the trigger in mine is stainless steel.

well, i was getting ready to take a quick photo of it so you could view it and my phone crumbled in my hand when i flipped it open...its a pretty old phone, looks like i'll be in the market for another one...sigh

@scotchblade...right now i use Mother's mag and aluminum polish...it works extremely well, and, i do it the old fashion way...elbow grease

when i post the picture up, you'll be able to see the difference between what i've worked on and the trigger appearance

gotta borrow my wifes smart phone

ok, in the picture you can see the difference in appearance between the trigger and the rest of the frame...does it look like the trigger is stainless steel too and can be polished, or is it made of something else

My guess is that the trigger is a MIM part. Doubt that polishing would hurt it.

Teddy, how about a picture of the whole gun. From what I can see it looks like you did an amazing job. I would have used a buffing wheel and probably screwed it up
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I took it outside and snapped a couple of shots with my wife's cellphone, best I could muster
