picked up a streamlight TLR -4 (pic)

its a 110 lumen light with a laser option.
i dressed up as a soldier and cleared the house...

    i really like it...
    its my first TLR
    i like all the options
just eyeballing the laser outta the box, it seems to already be lined up properly with the sights
of course she's gotta go to the range but,

i think its the perfect add on for a home defense weapon

I got a light on an AR and my bedside shotgun. Would love one of these for the Glock(s)

I have 2 streamlight flashlights that get hard use at work.Their customer service has been outstanding.

Repaired or replaced without any hassles.

the laser also is a good aid in dry fire practice

i dont know about other models (maybe they all have this) but this one has a silver toggle switch at the bottom to switch between modes
          flashlight only
          laser only
          both together

I bought one when they were new, couldn't get the laser to adjust as it was off the the left about 10' at 7 yards. Sent it back for another and it was the same thing but to the right and low. Returned for a good ol TLR1s

                Grats...

Everytime I hear the mention of Streamlight I still get angry with HK screwing over people who purchase the VP9.

How do you clear a house without covering things you are not willing to destroy???

Hand Held Light and the the Rail Light?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Just got a TLR-3 a month or so ago myself. Great little tac lights. Stuck mine on my XD .45 longslide. Liked it so much I promptly went out and got one of their little handheld's as well (ProTac 2L):

They definitely put the stuff I'd been using previously to shame (Glock weapon light and various Maglite handhelds).

Great setup you have there. Almost the exact same thing sits on my nightstand.

Do you think the 300 lumen claim is accurate? A while back I bought a Chinese knock-off flashlight that made a lumen claim that was way off in actuality. I compared it with a legitimate light with half the lumens and the knock-off was dimmer. Didn't have a light meter - just eye balled. That was the last time I bought generic on a high performance light.

It may not be, but compared to my TLR-4 side by side, it is obviously brighter by at least 50%. Now if you are talking about size/durability, it is obviously inferior. But at $35, I am willing to give it a try.
