    Dros 30 expiration

I searched but couldn't find an answer to this

Does a Dros really expire exactly 30 days to the exact time of purchase?

I purchased a lower receiver from a local gun shop and went in on the last day of my dros.
I walk in and ask to pick up my receiver and am told my dros expired that day at noon.

I had never heard of this before, whenever I've purchased other guns I was only told the dros expired on a day, not exact time.

I am going to go with yes, only because they list the time for all 3 events right on the form

    Transaction Date/Time
    Earliest Delivery Date/Time
    and
    Latest Delivery Date/Time

Maybe a FFL or someone more knowledgeable can confirm or deny.

Yes. Your DROS paperwork is good for exactly 30 days to the second from when it was electronically filed. One second after the posted Latest Delivery Date and Time your paperwork has expired...just like one second before the Earliest Delivery Date and Time your firearm cannot be delivered.

Always get a copy of your DROS paperwork upon purchase if it isn't offered to you.
